I will Always Remember … September 11, 2013

I’m always moved by the Star Spangled Banner, inspired by the heroism of our U.S. veterans, and celebrate our American freedom and prosperity, and how historically exceptional as a people we are.

And, 12 years after the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center and Pentagon, the images of destruction and human suffering on that fateful day make me realize these truths even more. In the midst of our suffering we rise up and prevail.

That we have enemies ready and willing to destroy what is America to me highlights why America is exceptional. If we were nothing, making no exceptional impact on the world especially as it relates to our foundation of freedom, our enemies would not even notice us.
It means we must always remember this day. It means we must tell our children and our children’s children about this day and about what makes America great.

God bless America and the families who lost loves ones on this horrific and fateful day. God bless our military.

So true Julie. My heart aches for the hurt the families are still experiencing even after 12 years. Lord, comfort each one.
